COMMUNAL HEALING

Communal Healing is a practice that brings people together—often healthcare workers, caregivers, or those in helping professions—for shared reflection, creative expression, and collective restoration. It draws from public health, trauma-informed care, and cultural/spiritual healing practices to support deep, group-based healing.

This is not individual therapy—it’s communal care. We make space for stories, movement, breath, and connection. It’s both ancient and emergent.

How It Helps

Participants often report feeling:
• Seen and validated in unprecedented ways
• Lighter, freer, and more grounded
• Connected to others
• More hopeful and inspired to continue their work

This approach has been shown to:
• Reduce burnout and emotional fatigue
• Build interpersonal trust and group resilience
• Support healing from racialized trauma
• Reignite a sense of joy and purpose

— Past participant, 2023

“I didn’t realize how much I was carrying until I sat in this circle. Thank you for helping me breathe again.”
